A bearded woman talks about her struggles: “Men think I’m transgender and are afraid to date me.”
Elsie, a Tanzanian lady with hirsutism—a rare disorder that causes her to sprout facial hair—has talked openly about her hardships.
Elsie has had numerous obstacles and sufferings as a result of having hirsutism since she was a little child.
She discussed some of the reasons why men steer clear of dating or falling in love with her in an interview with Wasafi Media. She also talked about how people frequently think she’s transgender.
The single mother claimed that many individuals who are ignorant of her illness have labeled her as transsexual.
Elsie clarified that because they believe she is transgender, males are hesitant to date her.
According to her, when men learn that she has facial hair, they stop being interested in her. They also frequently ask her friends if she is a real woman or transsexual.
Elsie declared that she believes God made her this way for a reason and that she has come to terms with who she is. She asserted that she is not unique among women.
“I embraced who I am because it comes naturally. God gave me. However, I do confront a lot of difficulties. I want to be clear that I am a woman, despite what some people may believe about my gender identity. I am merely ok, yet I am blessed with one daughter. I look odd, so many people are curious when they see me, but I am simply a lady like any other. I’m afraid of men, and they always ask my pals if I’m a real woman or transgender,” the woman claimed.
