According to Bisa Kdei, gambling is a better way to put money in people’s pockets than armed robbery.
Bisa Kdei, a singer and record producer from Ghana, has stated that he supports former President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s pledges to remove the betting tax if they are elected.
The numerous award-winning Highlife artists pointed out that for many young people without jobs, betting offers an alternative source of cash, and he or she believes it’s a better option than stealing.
“In the past, we might have said betting was bad, but today it helps put money in people’s pockets,” Bisa Kdei remarked. “Betting is helping many young people without jobs by giving them a way to make ends meet,” he continued.
“Even if betting entails both wins and losses, we should support those who use it as a source of income. “Betting is a far better option than using force to commit robbery or larceny. He continued, “People may turn to criminality if betting is outlawed and they have no other means of support. In the event that they win the general elections in 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, and John Dramani Mahama of the NDC have both promised to remove the contentious 10% betting tax.
