African Fashion Week Minnesota is scheduled for Monday, September 9-14, 2024, at 1400 Park Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404, United States.
This top event serves as a dynamic platform for advancing global growth through events, media, retail, and tourism.
By educating, empowering, and connecting visionary firms and individuals, African Fashion Week MN wants to break down boundaries and create a structured framework for industries to flourish.
This year’s event will focus on encouraging textile imports into Minnesota and creating collaborations between local designers and their African counterparts, ultimately enhancing the Minnesota-Africa relationship.
“The vision is to promote and improve public understanding with the appreciation of African fashion and arts through fashion shows and networking events,” according to a release from the organizers.
The goals include, among other things, the opportunity to empower and promote African-inspired fashion and arts through a premier event platform.
Carl Winston, Zeya Couture, Dazzelle LLC, Princess Flo Boutique, Obioma, Corazon Clothing, Shexclusive, and House of Khupe are among the fashion designers who will be exhibiting their work.
The others include Dedicated by Slay, Baddest, Ghana Global Business, Afrikaanista, Shiri Achu Art, Neek Molac, Glass Mirrored Art, Ura by Julia, Jerry Afrik, Simplicity Styles, and Ab Collections.
