Ghanaian actor Agya Koo has vehemently defended himself against claims of intimidation and manipulation in the film industry made by his colleague Mr. Beautiful.

In a recent social media video, Agya Koo encouraged Mr. Beautiful to hold former President John Mahama responsible for his professional setbacks instead of blaming them on personal rivals.

In an interview a few days ago, Ghanaian actor Mr. Beautiful talked candidly about the difficulties he has encountered in the film industry, including the alleged intimidation he received from fellow actor Agya Koo.

Mr. Beautiful asserted that Agya Koo has unduly influenced casting choices, implying that he would insist on being cut from any movie in which he appeared. “I was intimidated by Agya Koo. He would tell Miracle Films to cut me out of a film if I was cast in it, or he wouldn’t perform. ‘I was brought to challenge him and bring him down,’ he says. Mr. Beautiful described how this circumstance has had a profound impact on him.

Agya Koo responded to these accusations on social media by disputing Mr. Beautiful’s statements and demanding him to reveal the true causes of his difficulties in the movie business.

In a video shared on X (previously Twitter), Agya Koo counselled his colleague to blame the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, rather than personal conflicts for his career decline.

Blame Mahama for your career’s demise, Mr. Beautiful. He brought Nkoko Nkete and Dumsor. Agya Koo stated in his post, “Vote for Bawumia,” suggesting that Mr. Beautiful’s current difficulties are mostly a result of his political associations and the fallout that follows.
