Attack on Otumfuo’s group in Techiman.
On Monday night, tensions between Techiman and Nkoranza youth erupted in the Bono Region, resulting in the alleged attack on buses returning from Nkoranza to Kumasi, which injured several people, including a child.
Prior to returning through the Techiman region, the buses had transported the Asantehene to a burial at Nkoranza.

According to reports, the attack was a reprisal for something that happened to the Asanteman convoy earlier in the day. Witnesses said that the convoy stopped the route at Amamfom while yelling offensive phrases like “There is no man in Techiman.”
According to reports, this action infuriated several young people in Techiman who had threatened to assault visitors on the route in the past.

Numerous people were hurt in the violent altercation, and victims—including a child—received medical care.
No fatalities have been recorded, although it’s unknown how badly they were injured.
Tensions between the two communities have increased as a result of the event, however the police have not yet commented.
It is anticipated that authorities will step in to stop the situation from getting worse.
