ComIn reaction to leaked private footage, Serwaa Amihere revealed four things.
Serwaa Amihere, a well-known media figure, has spoken out about the recent disclosure of an intimate video featuring her.
Amihere clarified four major concerns regarding the distribution of the leaked tape in a statement that was made public on April 24, 2024.
When the recording was completed. She claims that the private video first appeared on April 2, 2024.
She explained that the video was shot five years ago and emphasized how embarrassing it has been for her, her family, and her loved ones for it to be released.
Amihere also stated that her employers, as well as the companies and brands she represents, have been impacted by the leaked tape.
Abuse
Amihere acknowledged in her statement that she had experienced extortion and threats before the broadcast of the film.
She said that despite efforts by law authorities to identify and detain the extortionists, the film continued to circulate online.
Embarrassment
Amihere apologized to her loved ones, family, coworkers, and the public for the hurt caused by the leaked film.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who has supported her during her media career, but she also acknowledged their disappointment and unhappiness.
Learning experience
Amihere said, “At the time, five years ago, I considerably underestimated the extent of my influence, ” in response to questions about the lessons she had learned from the experience.

Three people who are accused of being the ones who distributed the aforementioned video are currently facing legal action.
Three people, identified as Henry Amponsah, also known as Henry Fitz, Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio, and Edem Saviour Ketti, are accused of sexual extortion and distributing private images.
They are accused of conspiring to commit a crime, namely, the non-consensual sharing of private pictures, as defined by the Cybersecurity Act 2020 and Section 23 (1) of the Criminal Offences Act 1960.
Section 66(1) of the Cybersecurity Act 2020 also charges them with sexual extortion.

On April 2, 2024, someone posted an intimate video of me on the internet. This came almost 5 months after threats and extortion, along with efforts by the police to bring the extortionists to book.
The video (which was made 5 years ago) has severely embarrassed me, my family, and my loved ones. It has also exposed my employers and the businesses and brands I represent to embarrassment.Additionally, the video has been a source of frustration to all who have been my support, inspiration, and encouragement throughout my journey in the media.
At the time, 5 years ago, I considerably underestimated the extent of my influence, my potential, what I would become, and what I would come to represent to this society.
Sincerely, I say sorry for the embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration that this matter has caused to my family and loved ones, to the distinguished businesses and brands I represent, and to you.
In all, I have learned deeply useful lessons for the future.
