#Election2024: Mahama promises Ghanaians in his victory address that “our best days are ahead of us.”
After winning a landslide victory in the 2024 presidential election, John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect of Ghana, has guaranteed the populace that things will become better under his guidance.
The leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) acknowledged the difficulties that lie ahead in his victory speech on Monday, December 9, but he pledged to make a concerted effort to better the lives of all Ghanaians.
“We still have our best days to come. According to the election results, the NDC, of which I am the leader, recently recorded one of the most resounding wins in the fourth republic. “I feel incredibly honoured,” Mahama said.
In his appeal for harmony and hope, Mahama asked the country to resist pessimism and instead cooperate in order to fulfil the Ghanaian goal.
“We have every right to be proud as a people. I want to express my gratitude to the good people of Ghana for this chance. Please resist the urge to be pessimistic, even though I know the majority of you are frustrated. “Let us concentrate on rebuilding and re-establishing our country,” he stated.
With 6,328,397 votes, or 56.55% of all legal ballots cast, Mahama was proclaimed the winner by the Electoral Commission on Monday, confirming his triumph.
