Mahama and GHAMRO Provide Donations in Aid of KK Kabobo.
Renowned Ghanaian artist KK. Kaboobo has received donations from the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) and former president John Dramani Mahama. This happened after a photo of the seasoned performer seeming gaunt in a yellow shirt went viral.
According to sources, the veteran artist is fighting a liver issue. Unfortunately, his immediate family was struggling to make ends meet because of the exorbitant cost of his treatment, among other things. As a result, they reached out to philanthropists, devoted fans, and Ghanaians in general for financial support.
Using the opportunity to express gratitude on behalf of the veteran musician’s family, Barima Kaakyire Agyemang took to his Facebook page to announce that the former president had given the musician a sum of 5,000 Ghana cedis. “After I broke the story of Veteran Musician K.K. Kabobo… The flag bearer of the NDC His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has donated GH. 5000 to him. God bless you H.E. The family is grateful”, he wrote.
“GHAMRO was here, they gave me GH2000 for medication,” declared KK Kabobo during an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM that Ghpage.com was able to watch, even though he was ill and could not speak. He added, “A few other Takoradi-based organizations were also successful in raising money, which they contributed.
