Notice to strike is given by CLOGSAG starting on Monday, November 4.
The lengthy delay in completing a wage structure for the Civil Service and Local Government Service employees has given the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) the right to call a statewide strike.
They did, however, cancel the strike by issuing a communiqué after further discussions with the government side.
They said that multiple discussions had been held without a concrete offer from the government side because it was agreed that the process of finalising a salary structure would be finished by October 31, 2024, and put into effect on January 1, 2025.
It is clear from the aforementioned that the deadline of October 31, 2024, for completing a pay structure for the Civil Service and the Local Government Service would not be fulfilled.
In light of the aforementioned, CLOGSAG would be forced to declare a statewide strike starting on Monday, November 4, 2024, according to a statement released on Tuesday, 22nd.
