American media mogul Oprah Winfrey has refuted reports that she was paid $1 million to support Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris.

The claims stemmed from a Washington Examiner article that claimed Winfrey’s business, Harpo Productions, was compensated for hosting a town hall for celebrities in support of Harris in September.

Winfrey forcefully denied the allegation in return, telling TMZ, “Not true.” I never received any compensation.

She dispelled rumors that she was involved in the campaign by stating that her assistance to Harris was completely voluntary.

After Donald Trump of the Republican Party was proclaimed the winner of the election, Winfrey decided not to comment anymore.
