To improve the chances of locally produced goods and services on the global market, Osafohene Afua Asabea Asare, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), has weighed in on calls for organizations to prioritize packaging.
Speaking at the Packaging, Plastics, Food Processing, and Print Exhibition (PROPAK), 2024 in Accra, she advised companies to take advantage of the opportunity to improve their marketing and sales tactics to guarantee that their products bear the hallmark of quality and distinction as the nation works to attract the interest of international markets.
“I do not doubt that by working together, we can seize new opportunities, expand into untapped markets, and reach our full potential globally,” she remarked.
Ghana is a top choice for portfolio expansion, according to Alexander Angus, Managing Director of Montgomery Group, because of its stability, prosperity, and alluring business prospects.
The three-day event’s second edition gave attendees the chance to see the newest products and innovations from top regional suppliers as well as those from international businesses showcasing the most recent developments in industry innovation and goods that support the region’s manufacturing sector as a whole.
Seth Twum Akwaboah, President of the Association of Ghana Industries, stated that packaging plays a crucial role in the competitiveness of products that prioritize high-quality packaging.
Nonetheless, he exhorted Association members to be proactive and seize the chance to engage in these kinds of activities while utilizing the resources provided by AFCFTA.
