The CEO of Telegram shares how, despite being single, he fathered 100 biological children.
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, disclosed that his sperm donations over the previous 15 years have resulted in over 100 biological offspring.
He first began sperm donation in order to support a buddy who was having reproduction problems. Numerous couples in twelve countries have benefited from Durov’s assistance. Despite being single, he still supports the initiative.
Despite being single, the co-founder and CEO of the messaging software Telegram has stated that he is the father of over 100 biological children.
Pavel Durov provided an explanation of the incident on Telegram, stating that he began providing sperm fifteen years prior at his friend’s request.
“He (his friend) said that he and his wife couldn’t have kids due to a fertility issue and asked me to donate sperm at a clinic so they could have a baby,” stated the Russian-born IT entrepreneur.
I initially laughed it off until I realized how serious he was.”He cited medical professionals as suggesting that there was a “deficit of high-quality donor material” and that it was his “civic duty” to provide anonymous sperm donations in order to assist more couples.
“This sounded crazy enough to convince me to donate my sperm.”He went on to say that his contributions have made it possible for 100 couples in one country to become parents and that even now, one IVF center has frozen sperm on hand in case another family needs it in the future.
“My previous charitable endeavors have aided more than a hundred couples across twelve nations in becoming parents.
Furthermore, at least one IVF facility still has my frozen sperm available for families looking to conceive surreptitiously, even though I ceased being a donor many years ago.
Unmarried Durov acknowledges that “there are risks,” but he claims he has no regrets about being a donor. Durov bemoaned the fact that there is a growing global scarcity of quality sperm, but he is happy to have “done my part to help alleviate it.”
“Elon Musk, a father of twelve, joked that having 100 biological children was “rookie numbers” in response to Durov’s disclosure on X (previously Twitter). He attributed the statement to Genghis Khan.
According to historians, the Mongol emperor of the eleventh century is thought to have had several hundred–as many as a thousand biological offspring.
Musk welcomed a new child with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis earlier this year, and he has fathered 12 children with three different women.
