The renowned American rapper Eminem’s mother dies at age 69.
Debbie Nelson, the mother of legendary American rapper Eminem, has died.
After fighting lung cancer for several years, Debbie Nelson passed away on Monday night in St. Joseph, Missouri, at the age of 69.
Dennis Dennehy, Eminem’s spokesperson, confirmed her passing on Tuesday.
Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem, has not made any public remarks regarding his mother’s death.
His music, however, has provided ample documentation of their complicated and frequently turbulent relationship.
Eminem has alluded to their tumultuous relationship and his early life in songs like “My Name Is,” “Headlights,” and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.”
Nelson had previously discussed her relationship with Eminem in her novel “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem,” published in 2008.
