There are rumors that iOS 19 will bring these new features to your iPhone.
Even though iOS 19 is still three months away from release, there are already a lot of rumors circulating about it.
Redesigned Camera App
An updated Camera app for iOS 19 was purportedly leaked earlier this year. Jon Prosser posted a video on his YouTube channel Front Page Tech in January that purportedly showed the updated Camera app’s appearance. Transparent menus for camera controls were the main improvement. These menus’ overall layout is reminiscent of visionOS, the software platform used by Apple’s Vision Pro headset.

Compared to iOS 18, more of the camera’s viewfinder is visible. At the bottom of the interface, the camera controls are divided into two categories: Photo and Video.
You may record spatial video, set a timer for a picture, and more with the camera controls. According to the video, more controls for frame rate and video resolution appear at the top of the screen as needed.
There were earlier rumours that iOS 18 will have design modifications similar to those seen in visionOS, but that never materialised. Maybe the modifications were always intended for iOS 19.
More Siri-Like ChatGPT

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that iOS 19 will provide a “more conversational Siri” driven by “more advanced large language models.” By doing this, Siri will resemble ChatGPT more and be able to “handle more sophisticated requests.”
Gurman stated that the updated Siri won’t be accessible until as early as spring 2026, but Apple is expected to give a sneak peek at it around the release of iOS 19. This implies that the feature will be made available in March or April of next year as part of iOS 19.4.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT connectivity was added to Siri in iOS 18.2, and Google Gemini support is anticipated in a future release. Additionally, Siri will have greater per-app controls, on-screen awareness, and a grasp of personal context with iOS 18.4 or iOS 18.5.
According to Gurman, more conversational Siri has been postponed, potentially until iOS 20.
Disjointed Features
It is anticipated that many of the new features included in iOS 19 will be included in later iterations, such as iOS 19.1 through iOS 19.4.

The iPhone XS, iPhone XS, and iPhone XR are the oldest devices on that list; they were all released in September 2018.
Naturally, older iPhone models won’t be able to use some of the capabilities in iOS 19.
According to this claim, Apple has not discontinued support for any iPhone models with its main annual iOS release for the second consecutive year. The same iPhone models that support iOS 17 can also run iOS 18.
The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X were no longer supported by iOS 17.
When
The improvements are anticipated to be published in September, with the first iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 betas anticipated to be made available during WWDC 2025 in June.
