Two-story stores in Adum in Kumasi are destroyed by fire.

A fire outbreak in Kumasi’s Adum major business district has destroyed two-story structures that house multiple stores.

Around 6 a.m., the fire broke out at the well-known Blue Light venue near Hello FM, and while firefighters worked to put it out, it quickly spread.

As the fire tore through their stores, terrified merchants were forced to break in and discard their goods. The majority of the stores sell apparel, jewelry, and cell phones, and accessories.

An eyewitness reported that a flickering electrical pole nearby caused a spark on the upper floor of one of the buildings, which in turn started the fire.

Nana Ama Ataffuah Quainoo, Hello FM’s programs director, said that staff members had been evacuated due to the fire’s quick spread.

However, she claims that the Fire Service staff took a while to arrive. After arriving on the site, a number of fire tenders had challenges in battling the fire.
