Amaechi Muonagor, a Nollywood star, is pleading for money in India for a kidney transplant.
Amaechi Muonagor, a seasoned Nollywood actor, has made a sincere appeal to Nigerians for financial support so that they might receive a kidney transplant in India.
The renowned actor was seen lying on a bed in a video that went viral on social media. His coworker Kingsley Orji was with him, and he made a heartfelt plea on his behalf.
Orji revealed that Muonagor recently left the teaching hospital on his account because of financial difficulties, even though he was still in critical need of medical care.
His speech has been severely affected by the condition, which is why a kidney transplant procedure is urgently needed.
“The path has been difficult. Amaechi has been struggling with this illness for some months, and things have become worse. He has to have a kidney transplant in India immediately,” Orji stated, looking worried.
“Despite his recent departure from the Nnewi Teaching Hospital ICU because of financial constraints, his health is still severe. Due to his communication impairment, he needs help right away.”
For Muonagor, who previously sought assistance in November 2023 after disclosing his struggle with paralysis that affected half of his body, it is a distressing repeat. “While working on a movie set, I suddenly became quite sick, to the point that I was unable to move or walk on my own. My left hand is motionless, and half of my left leg is paralyzed,” he said. “I appeal to kind-hearted individuals to assist me in overcoming this paralysis, which has left me incapacitated.”
Muonagor’s appeal emphasizes the critical necessity for group assistance during medical emergencies, stressing the brittle nature of health and the need for community cohesion.
