John Dumelo, the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, has settled the unpaid tuition of a visually challenged law student at the Ghana School of Law, Makola.

Following John Dumelo’s prompt action, the student who had been in danger of being deferred because of unpaid fees was given a lifeline.
According to John Dumelo’s post on X, the student had contacted him via a common friend to explain the terrible circumstances.

Because he was unable to pay the remaining ¢10,400 in fees, the student faced the possibility of being delayed from the legal program.

After having to sell his laptop earlier, Gabriel Selasie Doe, a visually handicapped law student, contacted me through a friend to ask for assistance in paying the remaining 10,400 in GHS costs. By God’s mercy, I have paid all of his costs and provided funds to retrieve his laptop,” he said on X.
