Team Hubes Dance Crew wins the Ghana DanceSport League 2024.

The Ghana DanceSport League was launched on Saturday, October 5th. Team Hubes Dance Crew emerged victorious, surpassing United Kings Academy, 4Bent Dance Crew, Asa Academy, Flames Dance Company, and BAS Academy to secure the top spot.

This was performed at the Alliance Française’s Street Dance Fiesta as part of the 10th Ghana Dance Festival. For every round in the DanceSport League, dance crews had to perform their routines in a presentation-style format.

All six dance crews performed their routines on the first stage, and the top four advanced to the second stage based on their inventiveness, collaboration, execution, and showmanship. To find out who they would face in their individual matches, the top four cast votes.

“Dance is a sport,” asserts Robert Klah, the founder of the Ghana DanceSport League. This fact gained additional resonance when dance was included in the Olympics. DanceSport Ghana was established to promote dance as a sport in response to the fact that it is a sport, and we are pleased to launch the Ghana DanceSport League (Professional).

And lastly, dance athletes have an annual league to play in as they advance in their careers. The Ghana DanceSport School League, which will serve the amateur dance community, is our next course of action. We are eager to provide opportunities for our dance athletes to compete in worldwide dancesport competitions since we currently have links with several such organizations. In light of the fact that DanceSport is here to stay, we are excited to see it discussed in traditional sports programmes.

Among the highlights of the 10th Ghana Dance Festival’s Street Dance Fiesta was the debut of the Ghana DanceSport League. A dance workshop with the amazing members of DWP Academy, Lisa Quama, Endurance Grand, Demzy Baye, King Nature, and Richael, preceded it.

The top street dancers, such as the Millitantz Dance Family, Arenees Dance Crew, Flawless Dance Studio, 4bent Dance Crew, Black Illusion Dance Crew, Krump Ghana, The Originals, DMYB, Let’s Dance Africa, and many more, entertained the audience with performances after the workshop. The audience was delighted when Nila Dance Academy did an Indian dance to King Paluta’s “Makoma” to liven up the performances.

Facilitated by DanceSport Ghana, the Dancers & DanceSport Association of Ghana (DDASPAG), and Dancetera, the 10th Ghana Dance Festival’s Street Dance Fiesta was presented to you.
