Tell the truth to Vice President – Asantehene.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has requested that the aides of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate, tell the truth and not let their narrow-minded agendas influence them.

If things were not going well, he stated the crew should be honest with him so he could rethink the plan rather than letting him get off course. According to Otumfuo Osei Tutu, the goal ought to be the team’s and the party’s combined interest, since they need to be able to direct him throughout his campaign trail.

During the Vice-President’s courtesy visit to the Asantehene last Wednesday, during his campaign tour of the area, the Asantehene delivered the advice. He expressed the opinion that Ghanaians would support the candidate if they were persuaded by his message and urged him to keep outlining his plans and policies to the public in order to gain their support.

No government, according to Otumfuo Osei Tutu, would be able to address every issue the nation faces; instead, each would be necessary for the continuation of the others. The Asantehene saw Dr. Bawumia’s campaign as a rare chance to inform Ghanaians of the accomplishments of the current government and the further initiatives he would pursue if elected.

Trust President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo placed in him when he nominated him as his vice, and he said the time had come to repay that trust. The Asantehene declared that now was the moment for him to demonstrate that, having studied under the President, he was capable of leading the nation should the mantle be bestowed upon him.

Tax structure

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate reaffirmed in his speech his intention to reexamine the current tax structure and implement a flat tax system for simpler compliance.

According to Dr. Bawumia, traders and companies are currently at odds with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) over unpaid taxes. He claimed that the system is somewhat convoluted, which makes compliance challenging.

digital abilities

The Vice-President said that his administration would give young people access to one million jobs in digital skills like coding and soft engineering and that these jobs could also employ people with certifications.

With those abilities, he claimed, the young people could work in the UK from Ghana without having to fly there as long as they had access to a computer.

The Vice-President stated, “I want to invest in digital skills, creative arts, sports, and tourism for all of us to benefit from,” noting that Ghana was far ahead of other nations in the sub-region in terms of digitization.
