The Ghana Stock Exchange has authorized Atlantic Lithium’s listing.
The Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission and the Ghana Stock Exchange’s (GSE) Listing Committee have given Atlantic Lithium Limited permission to list its common shares on the GSE’s Main Market.
With this approval, Atlantic Lithium—Ghana’s first near-term lithium producer to be listed on the GSE—marks a major advancement.
According to the company’s prospectus, the indicative price for the listing on the GSE is GH₵3.34, which is based on the Primary Listing Market.
Serving as the Company’s listing arranger, sponsoring broker, and transaction advisor is Black Star Brokerage Limited.
The Ewoyaa Lithium Project, located in Ghana’s Central Region, is the flagship project of Atlantic Lithium, an African-focused lithium exploration and development company. The Project is projected to become the first lithium mine in Ghana and one of the biggest spodumene mines in the world, producing 365,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate annually.
Ghana’s Minister of Lands and Natural Resources granted a Mining Lease, opening the door for commercial production and giving the project a major boost. Furthermore, with a USD 5 million investment in Atlantic Lithium, Ghana’s Mineral Sovereign Wealth Fund (MIIF) has grown into a significant strategic shareholder. The Ghanaian government’s strong support for the project is demonstrated by this investment.
The dedication of Atlantic Lithium and its purpose for implementation
With its GSE listing, Atlantic Lithium hopes to attract a wider range of investors, raise its profile both domestically and internationally, and give Ghanaians and regional financial institutions more avenues for wealth generation. The company claims that its listing on the GSE, which allows local stakeholders to share ownership in the nation’s vital mineral production targets, demonstrates its commitment to the long-term development of Ghana’s economy.
The company’s listings on AIM and the Australian Securities Exchange will remain unaffected by the listing on the GSE, nor will it entail the issuance of additional Atlantic Lithium shares.
