This concludes the 2025 Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge.

After an exciting period of creative applications from young change-makers, the 7th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge is now officially concluded. Across the African continent, innovators submitted an astounding 151 entries.

We are currently reviewing contributions for the innovation challenge, which has ended its submission time. There will be three stages to the pre-qualification procedure. The top 20 contestants will be chosen by judges to attend an online boot camp in the first phase. Five finalists will then be selected. By April 30, 2025, finalist notifications will be sent out, and our media channels will disseminate the news.

The Africa Tourism Partners (ATP) and its partners would like to formally invite all young innovators and entrepreneurs in the tourism industry, as well as in related fields like Fintech, Digital Marketing, and Mobility, to register for the upcoming Africa Youth in Tourism Summit in Nairobi as the challenge draws to a close. The date of this year’s Summit is set for June 24–27, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya.

Young entrepreneurs, business executives, legislators, and investors will all be present at the summit for productive dialogues, networking opportunities, and teamwork. The Innovation Challenge finalists will also be there, live presenting their ground-breaking concepts to a distinguished group of judges and possible investors.

All tourism stakeholders and young people from all over Africa working in the travel, tourism, hospitality, and related industries are invited to register and attend the 2025 Summit by Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism, and BDO, in collaboration with host partners the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Kenya, TEAMS Africa, and the Kenya Tourism Board.

There will be a first-come, first-served allocation of desktop exhibition space. Participants will also get access to masterclasses for MICE and youth entrepreneurs, one-on-one meetings, career counseling clinics, speed marketing, and brand activation platforms.
