Burns Boy and Femi Kuti will be the stars of Glastonbury.

The Snuts and The Zutons will be performing at this year’s Glastonbury festival, joining the previously confirmed headliners Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA. More information about the lineup has been released.

The bill has been expanded to include Manchester icon James, up-and-coming indie musician Rachel Chinouriri, and Nigerian sensation Tems.

In three weeks, the celebration will begin, with gates opening on Wednesday, June 26.

Although all of the events were sold out in October, BBC television, radio, BBC Sounds, and iPlayer will all have complete coverage.

Highlights are anticipated to include pop singer Cyndi Lauper making her Pyramid Stage debut and country music icon Shania Twain performing in the Sunday teatime “legend slot”.

Fourteen years after the release of her breakout single Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, the singer has announced her farewell tour.

Rappers Little Simz and D-Block Europe, pop artists Jessie Ware and Sugababes, and dance titans Disclosure and Justice are among the other acts on the program.

On Saturday, June 29, at 18:00, there will also be a surprise set on the Woodsies stage.

Artists like The Killers, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, and George Ezra have appeared in those hidden spaces in the past. Up until they go onto the stage, there will definitely be a lot of speculation regarding this year’s guest at Worthy Farm.

In order to help fans plan their vacation despite the inevitable, agonizing clashes between their favorite acts, Glastonbury has also released the stage times for each act.

On Friday night, for instance, dance enthusiasts will have to make a difficult decision between Jungle and Jamie XX.

And towards the end of the festival, those seeking a dose of contemplative melancholy will have to decide between James Blake’s performance in the Woodsy’s tent and The National’s on the Other Stage.

On Saturday and Sunday, the early afternoon lineup for The Other Stage is not yet available; the performers will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

For the first time since 2017, Dua Lipa will be the main attraction on Friday night on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.

She said that the show took up “50% of my thoughts” in an interview with the BBC last month.

“I’ve got to figure out a way to make 150,000 people feel like they’re in a small little nightclub,” she stated.

“That’s the goal, and if there’s one place to do it, it’s gotta be Glasto.”

On Saturday night, Coldplay will be the main attraction at the event, making history as the first act to do so five times.

The band, who is presently halfway through their global tour, has teased some surprises for their Somerset comeback.

On Sunday, US soul icon SZA will bring hits like Saturn and Kill Bill—confessional, lyrical, and slightly confessional—to the Pyramid Stage, capping up the festival.

The festival will honor Annie Nightingale, the legendary DJ from BBC Radio 1 and a mainstay of Glastonbury who passed away earlier this year.

 

Some of her favourite songs will be performed by BBC talents she fostered, such as Jon Carter, Krafty Kuts, and Martha, during a special concert on the BBC Introducing Stage.
