The way Bawumia responds to those who label him as a “liar.”

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia responded to charges that he is a “liar” during a Sunday night media engagement in Accra.

In response to the matter, Dr. Bawumia made a pointed analogy to charges made against other public servants.”I think Ebo Quansah mentioned people calling me a liar, and I thought to myself, at least I’m not being called a murderer, as my boss was, or a drug dealer, or even ‘Government Official One,'” says Dr. Bawumia.

He continued by considering the reasons behind these charges and elaborating on his conviction that Ghana has the capacity to surpass the accomplishments of wealthy countries.

“In essence, I think Ghana is capable of doing all that is occurring in the developed world’s advanced nations. I think we can advance technology faster than it is now, but in order to do so, we need to have an optimistic outlook,” Dr. Bawumia stated.

He asserted that Ghana should not be scared to take on projects that haven’t even been tried in developed countries, criticizing a timid mindset that he feels has kept the nation behind.

“You know, we always attempt to do things timidly that aren’t even done in developed nations. We believe we shouldn’t even try since it hasn’t been done in developed nations, but we can still outperform them in many ways,” he continued.

Notwithstanding the obstacles and critiques he encounters, Dr. Bawumia’s remarks demonstrate his dedication to original thought and his faith in Ghana’s capacity for greatness on the international arena.
