Kufuor has an obligation to support Bawumia, the party’s candidate, and protect his party.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor is obligated to support his party and advocate for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a prominent spokesperson for former President John Dramani Mahama.

He clarified, however, that Ghanaians will not automatically support the NPP as a result of Mr. Kufuor’s statements.

According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the NPP government has been “complete garbage in government and needs to be thrown out.”

“The perfect Danquah-Busia man that he is, President Kufour, is duty bound to defend his party and campaign for its candidate,” the former Deputy Minister of Information wrote in a post on his X page. The electorate does not necessarily agree with his story. The NPP should be removed from office because they have been complete garbage.

His remarks coincide with Mr. Kufuor expressing faith in Dr. Bawumia’s capacity to lead the nation.

According to Mr. Kufuor, this could hasten Ghana’s economic growth.

“During my tenure, I have witnessed his exceptional aptitude for economic development, as he played a crucial role in the Bank of Ghana’s team led by Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, helping to bring the currency back to life,” he told reporters on Sunday, November 17.

He exhorted Ghanaians to cast their votes in large numbers for Dr. Bawumia.

“I am convinced that if Bawumia is elected president, Ghana’s economy will see a substantial improvement, especially considering the current state of the world. I urge you to back his candidature because, with divine direction, he can fulfill this promise.
