According to a pastor in the US, Shatta Wale needs love rather than criticism because his parents left him with severe emotional and spiritual scars.
Kofi Adonteng Boateng, a Ghanaian pastor living in the United States, has stated his support for the reggae dancehall performer Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah.
The pastor said in an interview with Kingdom FM that he frequently prays for Shatta Wale and is a huge fan of his music.
Pastor Adonteng clarified in the interview that Shatta Wale’s emotional scars from his early years, especially the absence of parental support, are the cause of his intense and occasionally contentious behavior.
His statement highlighted the emotional toll this took on the singer. “I have listened to several interviews where Wale speaks about the abandonment he faced from both his mother and father,” he stated.
Shatta Wale’s early experiences of growing up without parental love, according to the preacher, molded his strong mentality and taught him to tackle life’s obstacles on his own.
Adonteng claimed that Wale had suffered “severe emotional and spiritual wounds,” which “have contributed to his complex demeanor.”
Noting that “the artist is in need of healing from the scars of his past,” he called on society to “show Shatta Wale love and understanding, rather than harsh criticism.”
“He needs compassion and support, not condemnation.”
