The Gringo crooner claimed in a video obtained by Basteconline that he would be a perfect candidate for the position because, in his opinion, true leadership is about having a sincere desire and determination to bring about great change in the nation rather than bombastic speeches or elegant words.

My goal is to have to transform Ghana at some point. I’ll get up and walk away from the music if Ghanaians will stand with me. As I will turn forty in four years, I will be qualified to run for president because we have the power to make changes. Being a politician is not about using complex grammar. Ghana is not a very grammar-heavy nation. All I need are heads—individuals capable of managing the system. But we are no longer in this nation. Ghana is an estate rather than a nation.”

In addition to his ambition to motivate and guide the nation toward a better future, he is taking this action in order to “honor my dad’s wish for me to enter politics.”

Noting the recent incident in which a member of the Vice President’s wife’s family demolished someone’s building without repercussions, he also bemoaned the current state of affairs in the nation, where a few people wield excessive power and influence. He emphasized the need for equality and equal opportunities for all Ghanaians, regardless of their background or status.

“It is typical that a member of the Vice President’s wife’s family went and demolished someone’s building recently. However, this shouldn’t be the case. In order to progress this nation, we must all strive for equality, he declared.
