Wanderlust Ghana halts 30,000-kilometre mission, trucks detected as stolen from Canada.
A well-known travel company known for its daring road trips, Wanderlust Ghana, has momentarily halted its current 30,000-kilometer adventure.
On Thursday, November 28th, the organisation announced the news and provided an explanation for the sudden stop.
The suspension comes after allegations surfaced that two of the adventure’s vehicles were reported stolen after the party reached Congo. The journey was immediately suspended after it was discovered that the two vehicles in question—a 2018 Toyota Tacoma and a 2016 Lexus RX 350—were stolen from Canada.
Wanderlust Ghana has strongly denied any misconduct in response to the accusations. The group is certain that they operated in good faith and maintains that the cars were legally purchased from reliable vendors. In order to look into the situation and clear its identity, Wanderlust Ghana has stated that it is fully willing to work with the authorities.
Wanderlust Ghana is hopeful that the matter will be settled swiftly so they can resume their journey and reaffirm their commitment to using travel to unite people.
