Ghanaian rap sensation Emmanuel Yeboah, professionally known as AY Poyoo, is well-known for his quirky and humorous approach to music. Recently, he opened up about the financial struggles he faces in the music industry. Known for always carrying a goat with him, AY Poyoo was not the same cheerful, fun-loving guy he usually is. In a video that he posted on his TikTok page, he revealed that he has not made any money in his three years in the industry. He claimed that no show-promoter has ever paid him more than $200 and that the highest amount of money he has ever received is $100.

He further conveyed his aggravation at the dearth of acknowledgment and assistance from Ghanaians and the press.

He said he felt disrespected or underappreciated despite having worked hard to establish himself. He claims that he gets insulting remarks on social media from people.

AY Poyoo, who is well-known for his humorous songs like “GOAT” and “Swimming Pool,” used social media to vent about his financial difficulties. Many people were moved by his candor, which brought to light the difficult realities that up-and-coming musicians must contend with in the music business: not all visibility equals significant financial gain.
