The service was designed especially to help level 100 students travel to different places, including Kumasi, Sunyani, Koforidua, and Tamale, more easily. Five buses were sent out to transfer the pupils to make this easier.

Lydia Alhassan explained the initiative’s motive, saying that it was an expression of her dedication to helping students, whom she saw frequently struggle with last-minute arrangements at the end of the semester.

During their in-person meeting, the MP gave the children transportation as well as snacks for their trip.

As she spoke to the media, the children and constituents referred to her as Maa Lydia, and she addressed possible criticisms regarding her intentions.

She made it clear that her acts were sincere attempts to lessen the students’ suffering rather than a ploy to win over votes.
