Captan, a former member of Shatta Wale’s now-dissolved Militants, has talked candidly about the unexpected effect his partnership with the dancehall superstar had on his personal life.

Captan disclosed in a Kingdom FM interview with veteran journalist Fiifi Pratt that his landlady had abruptly raised his rent following the publication of their successful song.

“My landlady abruptly raised my rent from GHS700 to GHS1,300 after the release of our track together (with Shatta Wale),” Captan revealed in the interview.

He clarified that the rent increase opened his eyes and motivated him to pursue greater professional achievement. It motivated me to increase my output and raise my bar. I committed to reaching the degree of achievement that Wale had in mind for me,” he continued.
